Black Graduate Student Association

"The Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of student life at ISU, while promoting academic excellence, mentoring, professional guidance, social support and scholarly advancement of undergraduate students, graduate students, and other members of the ISU community of African descent and other nationalities."

Queer* Graduate Student Association

"The Queer* Graduate Student Association is open to all Iowa State University graduate students who identify within the LGBTQIAA community. Our main purpose is to provide social opportunities to connect ISU LGBTQIAA graduate students across disciplines. In addition, it also allows graduate students the ability to network with each other in both personal and professional capacities. Professional possibilities could be research collaborations, helpful strategies for teaching, or other career related items."
