Purpose

These competitive grants provide postdoctoral scholars a valuable opportunity to apply for research funding in the role of a principal investigator. Postdoctoral scholars are expected to develop independent research, and this grant is an opportunity to gain experience doing so.

Eligibility

All postdoctoral scholars with established salary support for the duration of their proposed project are eligible for this award. The number of available seed grants that are funded vary by year. A minimum of three awards will be funded each year.

Funded Proposals

Outcomes

Grant recipients will be expected to submit a report describing in what ways the seed grant advanced the proposed research, results generated, and any publications. Any published work resulting from this seed grant should acknowledge the support.

Applications for this award are accepted each spring semester. Details for submission will be updated each year in March.
