Applied scientific computing
This graduate minor for students working in scientific computation is available from the graduate college of ISU.  The degree will recognize the student’s educational focus on computation, in addition to the major degree.
Program Homepage

The objectives of the minor in Applied Scientific Computing are to train students in the techniques of high performance computing for science and engineering applications, to expose students to application areas beyond their immediate research, to share experience and expertise across disciplinary boundaries and to facilitate interdisciplinary research that relies on numerical simulation.  Students in this program are expected to be engaged in research that applies large scale, high performance computer simulation to areas of science and engineering.

Admission Requirements

Graduate College Requirements:

  • 4 year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
  • Academic Records/Transcripts
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (Program may alter requirement.)
  • Proof of English Proficiency.
